SAP to Microsoft Fabric: 100+ Pipelines at 95%+ Validated Accuracy

The situation

Legacy SAP mappings stood between the data and analytics.

The company needed to modernize its SAP ECC and S/4HANA data workflows and enable analytics at scale, while keeping data accuracy high and enterprise data processing efficient. Legacy mappings and extraction methods stood in the way of a modern, governed platform. The bar was to migrate a complex enterprise SAP estate without losing fidelity, and land it on a platform that could support analytics at scale.

What we built

Azure Data Factory pipelines from SAP into Microsoft Fabric.

We built Azure Data Factory pipelines to migrate SAP ECC and S/4HANA into Microsoft Fabric, using the ODP framework and a Self-Hosted Integration Runtime for secure SAP extraction. More than 100 legacy XML mappings were converted into reusable SQL and PySpark transformations. We developed ETL and ELT pipelines across the Fabric lakehouse layers and integrated Fabric Data Engineering and Real-Time Analytics, turning a fragile, legacy SAP reporting estate into one unified data platform.
