Keep the business meaning.
Modernize the machinery.

Legacy mappings and BusinessObjects reports become logic the new platform can run, converted where it is safe and redesigned where it is not.

  • Every report inventoried

Usage and complexity are scored, and dead reports are flagged.

  • Converted or redesigned

Logic is converted only where its meaning survives the move.

  • Proved against the source

Converted outputs are compared with the source before anything retires.

Keep the business meaning,
not just the tables.

SourceTargetTables onlyMeaning keptSame answer

Years of operating knowledge hide in mappings, universes, report formulas and scheduled jobs. Moving the tables leaves that knowledge behind.

  • Logic inventoried first

Every mapping and report is read for what it still does for the business.

  • Rebuilt for the target

Transformations become SQL and PySpark; reports move into the target semantic layer.

  • Retired, not converted

Reports with no continuing purpose leave with the old platform.

This is the right engagement when

  • A data migration leaves legacy ETL or report logic unresolved.
  • BusinessObjects is running out of road, and its reports still matter.
  • The team needs to tell automated conversion from engineering work.

SAP to Microsoft Fabric: 100+ Pipelines at 95%+ Validated Accuracy

Legacy XML mappings and extraction methods held back the company’s SAP ECC and S/4HANA data. We converted more than 100 legacy mappings into reusable SQL and PySpark on Microsoft Fabric, fed by Azure Data Factory pipelines. It now runs 100+ optimized SAP transformation pipelines at 95%+ validated accuracy.

Questions buyers ask.

What is a BusinessObjects exit assessment?

A BusinessObjects exit assessment inventories your report estate and turns it into a sequenced plan for leaving the platform. BOBJ Transformer scores every report for usage and complexity and flags the dead ones. The assessment typically takes two to three weeks at a fixed price, and you keep the wave plan and the business case behind it, whoever carries out the exit.

Can legacy ETL and report logic be converted automatically?

Some of it can, and the work starts by finding out which. Each transformation is marked to convert as it stands or to be redesigned for the target, because conversion is safe only where the business meaning survives the move. Reusable mappings become SQL and PySpark, and reports are rebuilt in target semantic models such as Power BI, with their definitions made visible.

What happens to legacy reports nobody uses?

They retire with the old platform instead of being converted. Reports with no continuing purpose should not consume conversion effort or target capacity. The usage scores from the inventory identify them, and the wave plan records each retirement beside the components that move, so the exit becomes a measured reduction in legacy dependence rather than a copy of everything.

How do you check that converted reports give the same answers?

Converted outputs are compared with the source before anything retires, so a report leaves the legacy platform only once its replacement has been checked against what it produced. The comparison sits in the final step, alongside the exit wave plan and business case, and you keep the conversion inventory that records what converted, what was redesigned and what retired.

Do we need to finish the data migration before converting the logic?

No. The logic is usually prepared before the data moves, so the reports have somewhere to run when each wave lands. The engagement begins with an inventory and conversion plan for one legacy logic or reporting estate. Moving the data and proving it matches is the Migrations service, which follows once the logic is ready.
